Chantelle Trainor-Matties

Chantelle Trainor-Matties is an artist of Nisga’a and Métis origin and the founder of Frettchan studios, where she takes on a wide range of projects including design, illustration, painting, and murals. Trainor-Matties founded Frettchan Studios in 2019 after having graduated from art school at the University of the Fraser Valley. She has been practicing Indigenous art in the Northwest Coast formline style since 2017. Trainor-Matties boasts an impressive portfolio, having completed a myriad of projects for commercial, government, academic, and private clients over the years.
